Skyfall Redux

Houston, Texas, the Awakened community is recovering from the last Wizards War nearly 5 years ago. The conflict lasted for 4 years as Magi factions fought over the mystical leylines and hallows within Lake Sabine. The forces of the Houston Consilium were defeated, suffering extensive casualties and the ruling council was forced from power. In its place the Free Council has risen, promising to rebuild from the ashes and usher in a new age for the Awakened. Much was lost in the war, the power and influence of the Awakened being most evident and the mages no longer the dominant power in the region. Other forces stir in the shadows to fill the power vacuum left after the war. The Faerie Freehold and the Vampire Court are locked in an intricate power struggle as they extend their influence into the mundane and supernatural worlds. Fighting over control of entertainment venues, mortal politicians and drug trafficking routes. This secret war is waged in the shadows of the mortal world, occa...

Ties That Bind: Location, Location, Location

Major Sector Worlds  Haxby, population 22 billion The beating heart of the Zeflan sector, Haxby is a large urban planet home to over 22 billion souls. The planet that never sleeps is famed for its technological, industrial and media exports to the rest of the Imperium. Ties That Bind

The Zeflan Sector is home to proud and ancient families who have forged places for themselves on the borders of imperial space near the Zagreb Kingdom. The oldest worlds in the sector were colonized nearly a thousand years ago and have weathered many changes, some better than others. At the founding of the Imperium when communication between worlds was slow and ponderous, the nobility was created to rule the empire on behalf of the Emperor, as he could not exert his will far from the capital. The majority of the empires nobility is descended from those chosen by the emperor to govern in his stead, with occasional titles created to reward exemplary military or scientific service. With the advent of FTL communications orders from Capital can be quickly relayed to all corners of the empire easing the administration of government. With the central government able to exert its will the old monopoly on political power the nobility had was broken. The nobles find themselves in a precar...
