Ties That Bind: Location, Location, Location

Major Sector Worlds

Haxby, population 22 billion
The beating heart of the Zeflan sector, Haxby is a large urban planet home to over 22 billion souls. The planet that never sleeps is famed for its technological, industrial and media exports to the rest of the Imperium. Haxby has three moons in orbit, each is large enough to sustain its own atmosphere and all are inhabited.

Rippon, population 800 million
The growth of Haxby over the past two centuries has been uneven, concentrating wealth in the hands of a few and creating billions of impoverished citizens. The overcrowding of the planet has sent its poorest citizens offworld to Rippon, a moon covered in slums. The slums, called favelas by system locals, are a largely lawless place run by gangs that control vast swathes of territory. Passage between Rippon and Haxby is strictly monitored and controlled by officials.

Ascension, population 50 million
Originally founded as a mining outpost for titanium and palladium, the scenic views and high mountains offered by this moon have captivated the hearts of visitors. The world is now mostly a resort planet offering some of the finest skiing and entertainment in the Sector.

Norcliffe, population 1 million
This lush garden world is the hereditary fief and seat of the Viscountcy of Norcliffe. The moon is considered private property and only those who have the permission of the Viscount can visit the world. The Viscountcy has recently changed hands, the ifamous media mogul Robert Zansk becoming the new Viscount. Rumor has it that some unflattering information came to light about the former Viscount's family and that Zansk used his media influence to suppress all information about it. Queries into the matter by outside matters have turned up little, there was a small transfer of funds with the title transfer which the former viscount used to pay down his family debts.

Grantham County

Carlisle, population 50 million
The county seat of Grantham County, and the ancestral home of House Perseus. Carlisle is a temperate and pleasant agriculture world with large plains and gentle rolling hills, ideal for farming. The House used to own the entire world as its fief but over the generations large tracts of land were sold of piecemeal to raise funds that were squandered. The Count of Grantham largely plays a ceremonial role in local politics as he owns no land, and no government owes fealty to him, free holders no decide the fate of the world.

Argyle, population 8 million
An agricultural and underdeveloped world. Argyle has been left to tend to its own devices for quite some time. The world is craggy and mountainous, making it unsuitable for large scale colonization and development. The worlds major exports are wool, lamb meat and goat cheese.
